One of the best rules we have learned was don’t listen to what people say, go see it for yourself. When mentioning El Salvador lots of people tried to deter us from visiting, saying this is a poor country, had a lot of crime and gang violence, ( which is to say what other countries in the world don’t have bad areas and poverty) luckily opinions aren’t facts. With that being said we ventured off with no set plans, just rented a car and drove.
