The magical island of Bali has so much to offer, from rice fields to volcanoes, to waterfalls, to beautiful beaches, to temples, and amazing restaurants and bars. Traveling to Bali for the first time requires some proper planning because the island itself is huge and it’s hard to choose which area to stay in to fit everything you want to do during your tropical vacation.

Bali has warm weather year-round with 2 main seasons, the dry season (April to September) and wet season (October to March). During the wet season, it rains almost every day, but usually for a couple of hours, after which everything looks even more green. It does however; get very hot and humid as well. Avoid a trip to Bali in February, because it rains heavily every day and it can ruin some of your outdoor activities.

Bali is a very crowded island and traffic jams are unbearable sometimes. The best and most affordable way to get around is on the back of a scooter. If you feel confident enough to drive in the madness. Scooter rentals cost 50,000 IDR ($3.30).

Bali is a true paradise with so many affordable accommodation choices. The island itself is huge and has so many stunning areas. Choosing your private villa in Bali is harder than it looks, because of the numerous choices. The great news is that you can stay in a luxury villa with a private pool in it for less then $150 per night.
